Location
The retreat takes place in Sithonia, in the peninsula of Halkidiki in Northern Greece, about 100km from the city of Thessaloniki.
We will be staying and training on the grounds of an organised camping. The campground is between forest and beach. There are big trees for shade and a small river nearby. There is a large private beach and you may use the sun beds the camping offers. Bring your swimwear and snorkels to enjoy swimming the crystal clear waters! The area is beautiful to hike and explore around by foot or car. We are happy to assist you with information!
The campground offers the following facilities:

Restaurant, on the beach, offering a great variety of freshly cooked Greek and Mediterranean meals. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, as well as fresh fish , seafood and meats.

Mini market, well equipped will fresh fruits and vegetables, dry goods, sanitary items and most things you may need.

Common kitchen stations with fridges and cooking facilities. **At the moment not available because of Covid restrictions**

How to Get There
Arriving by AIR
You can approach the location by airplane to Thessaloniki International Airport Macedonia (SKG) . International flights arrive here from many countries, as well as domestic flights from Athens and other Greek cities.

You can also travel from Athens to Thessaloniki by Train or Bus. The train ride is especially enjoyable.

From Thessaloniki to the Camp by BUS
From the airport (or from any location of Thessaloniki) you will need to
go to the central bus station KTEL HALKIDIKI (ΚΤΕΛ ΧΑΛΚΙΔΙΚΗ) and take the bus to ARMENISTI (ΑΡΜΕΝΙΣΤΗΣ), tell the ticket counter and the bus driver you would like to go to Lacara Camping. The bus will drop you off right in front of the camping entrance.

Renting a Car or Motorbike

If you wish to rent a car or motorbike to travel to Sithonia, that’s also possible and highly recommended to explore the beautiful region of Halkidiki.
You can rent a car/ bike from Thessaloniki. Or travel from Thessaloniki to Halkidiki by bus and rent a car from one of the towns of Halkidiki.
